Fun event. The Black team (upper class) beat the Purple team 4-3, after being behind 3-1. Texas Pro Bowl is an awful facility. Our 2-time NCAA National champions deserve better. The next closest facility is in Tyler.

How many lanes would the ladies need on campus for training? 2, 4, 8? Didn't there used to be some bowling in the underground? It seems like the cost burden (even including maintenance) would be fairly low, but maybe I'm ignorant in bowling costs.

Sam has eight. I think four would be okay. With 8, you're better able to open it up for rec use, as long as the team gets priority.

The underground has been looked at. Not enough headspace. There is space in HPE that would work, but rec is not, currently, willing to let go of it.

It really needs to be addressed. If Texas Pro Bowl shut down, or just stops allowing us to use the facility, our team would be in dire straights.

So, it appears that different departments at SFA can't work together for the greater good.

Athletics and School of Communication can't get along which is perhaps why our ESPN+ broadcasts are so often poor quality.

Now Rec won't work with a 2 time National Championship bowling team to get them the top notch facility they could use which would improve practice time and possibly recruiting.

Kind of a shame that petty infighting and arrogance is holding SFA back. Where are the grownups in the room?

Don't be misled by the being elevated from club level comment. They are very good. For whatever reason, they have just chosen not to compete in the NCAA. C-USA bowling is by far the best in the NCAA.

ICYMI, SFA's Juliana Kerrigan bowled a perfect game a few days ago in the 2024 Addison ISC Sectional.
