SFA (2-1) vs. Arkansas State (2-1)

WHEN: 11/16 (SAT) 2:00P.M.
WHERE: First National Bank Arena (Jonesboro, AR)
WATCH: ESPN+

The Saturday matinee features the Jacks on the road to the Red Wolves of Arkansas State. The Lumberjacks are still looking for their first D1 win while the Red Wolves have already beat two decent midmajor teams in Akron and UA-Little Rock.

Arkansas State is currently the highest rated program we will play this season besides Oregon. It will take a performance on the offensive side that we have yet to see from this season's Jacks.

For about 5 minutes in the second half of the LeTourneau game, a lineup with Daveon at point found a good offensive flow. Otherwise, virtually all offense has come off of transition defense. Can the Jacks rectify their shooting situation? Can we play defense for 40 minutes?

A tough game from a solid team. The Jacks are going to try to continue to build the on court chemistry, but it will take something special to win.

Honestly being down 6 at half.I thought it would be much, much worse. There is still lots of work and fixes. But it may be winnable.

Our rebounding is good. High level. Not sure what you are seeing. The issue I see tonight is closing , on some of the close in stuff. Also, not having a true point guard has Hayman playing out of position IMHO.

Excellent defensive effort. Can't complain about giving up only 59 points. Poor offense. Man, we need a PG in the worst way.
