(BRIEF WRITEUP)

This will be a good early season test for us.

GWU went to the NCAA in 2019 and won 18 games last year, advancing to their conference tournament final.

A buzzer beater from Colorado State (Who won 25 games last year and went to the NCAA) kept GWU from pulling the upset earlier in the week.

They forced the Rams into 16 turnovers (including 10 steals) and limited CSU to just one offensive rebound, while gathering 8 for themselves.

GWU shot 31% from three, making just 7-22.

Based solely on the box score, the game against Colorado State was an old-school Danny Kaspar type game, with just 12 fastbreak points COMBINED.

No one shot the ball particularly well.

I'm not sure what our status is on all our guys, but whomever plays is going to get a good test.

Win or lose, this is a good early season barometer on some of our guys.

The GW/CSU game was a little like that GCU/MSU game. GW outscored CSU in the first half 36 to 25 but GW was outscored by CSU 27 to 40 in the second half. The GW FG% went from 52% in the first half to 30% in the second half. Looks like CSU decided to play some D in the second half.

The Jacks will need to box out and put a body on Kareem Reid. He is a 6'9" 205lb forward that averaged 1.6 blocks, 5.1 rebounds, and 9.3 points last year. He had 10 points and 10 rebounds last week. GW brought in some guard transfers that can score. SFA can win the game if they play the defense they are capable of playing.

Roti Ware just makes our offensive game seem so much smoother.
