Y'all I have been at best a sporadic participant on this message board, so I'm ignorant as all get out, so I am asking someone to explain to me how, when and why the football program lost several members of its coaching staff before this past season. I've heard everything from most of the coaching staff leaving to just the entire defensive staff to just a couple of coaches.

I believe the number is eight. Heavy on the defense side. Every one of them left for a bigger, better paying job. Part of the price of success.

76 is 100% correct they all left for higher paying jobs... Not only the DC and some of the other coaches but staff members from the video coordinator to GA's got offered higher paying jobs to bigger schools. Maybe once we get some of that PUF money we can afford to keep some of our young and up n coming staff members..

Thanks for the info. Dang, that's a huge loss in one season. Has to have a negative effect on recruiting as well. Wishing Coach Carthel luck with this
