SFA:6 (9-40)
ULM:11 (21-28)
Final

In front of a crowd of 1,238 in attendance, the Jacks made a game of it going up 4-0 in the top of the 2nd.

Tyree Carr got things started with a 2-run homer (3rd) to left field in the 2nd leading to a 6-1 SFA advantage going into the 3rd.

ULM quickly closed the gap in the 5th knotting it up at 6 a piece.

After that it was all ULM scoring 5 unanswered as the pitching settled in to shutting the SFA bats down, striking out 12.

Lumberjack pitching K'ed 3, walked 7 and gave up 11 ERs off of 13 hits.

SFA:7 (10-41; 6-23)
SAC STATE:5 (24-28; 12-14)
Final

Hello two-digit win column, as the Jacks make it to 10 wins on the season and are now one game away from their first back to back series win for 2024.

It was a home run derby with 6 total going over the fence, 5 of which were by the Jacks.

Cole Hill started thinks off in the first with one over left field (7th of the season) giving SFA the quick 1-0 lead.

Lets do it again in the 2nd as the Jacks go back to back with Cal Martin (6th) to center and Tom Biggs which would be the first of two for the game (6th) to right field, and again in the 4th. Dylan Bourgeois would put up the insurance in the 9th (2nd).

Back to back jacks for the Lumberjacks LOL!

Cole Griffin with 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 doubles as well.

Elian Balmaceda (2-6) gets the win and Reid Boyett gets the save as SFA holds off a late rally by the Hornets leading 6-3 going into the bottom of the 8th.

18 total K's by both pitching staffs.

SFA:9 (10-42; 6-24)
SAC STATE:11 (25-28; 13-14)
Final

The Jacks almost pull off the come back, trailing 10-1 going into the 5th inning.

The come back began when Cole Hill sent one out over left field for a 3-run homer (8th)

Down 7-10 in the 7th Cal Martin homers to left field to score Peyton Parker on a 2-run homer (7th) making it 9-10 going into the 8th.

In the top of the 9th down 9-11 SFA got two aboard, but that was it.

Cole Hill with 2 runs on 2 hits and 3 RBI's
Colton Griffin with 3 more hits 1 run, 1 stolen base, and 2 RBI's
Cal Martin with 3 hits 1 run and 3 RBI's

22 K's combined by the pitching staffs.

One series to go with an old SLC rival, Northwestern State in Natchitoches.

The Demons are 19-31 and have lost 4 in a row, but do have wins against Lamar, a sweep of HCU, and were just edged out in Baton Rouge by LSU 5-6.

Jacks were up 9-5 until the bottom of the 4th when the Demons loaded the bases and scored several forced runs on walks. SFA quickly saw their 9-5 advantage become a 9-14 deficit.

The Jacks rally in the 6th to close within 3, but all was quite after that as both teams could not score.

SFA pitching K's 11 and walks 9.
NSU K's 10 and walks 5.
