Let's hope so. It would do wonders for the future of the program. You have to give it to Conque. Our Jacks are much improved especially the defense. We are also making less mistakes. It is also apparent that the Jacks or using a much more conservative offense. It should eventually expand to a much better more diverse offense in the future. I'm encouraged and that is very unusual on my part. Go Jacks.

To me one of the brightest spots so far is that we have two solid quarterbacks. Going into 2018 with two proven quarterbacks is gigantic. Now if we can win 3 more games....

I'm not sure i'd call Jake or Foster "proven" but I feel you. If we win the next three I'm afraid to say I think it will be in spite of Jake not because of.

Here is a question ... so lets say we win out and we finish 6-5. Blumrick, while not the best QB is improving. In my opinion he is doing the best he can with the time that the O-Line is giving him. Unless something dramatic happens next year, Foster is back. Which means he is back at the helm. This leads to my question - does Jake transfer? He has proven he can be a starting QB and I think if he had the time could complete more than 58% of his passes. He needs to work on accuracy but what QB doesn't.

Thoughts?

I doubt it because Jake is only a sophomore. I imagine he'll get a crack at the starting job as a senior if he waits it out. I'm not sure he could transfer to another program who could offer any more than that.

We need to bolster that offensive line. Jake would prosper at a D2. I don't think that he would be considered starter material at another D1. At this point of his career, his arm is weak. He seldom throws the deep ball although we have some potent receivers. Of course the line is part of that problem. I still think that he is a good prospect for us though. I think that Conque will be tempted to play both of them next year. Jake needs to learn to get rid of the ball much quicker and to throw it away when necessary. I do think that he has done an admirable job though.
