I've long wondered about SFA alums in military service, and as far as I know we don't have an active list of Lumberjacks who were killed in the armed forces, but I did find this today:

http://www2.sfasu.edu/story/markers/SFA-WWII.html

Quote:

At the height of WW2, over 1000 SFA students served in the military, with over 36 being killed while in service.

SFA also had the distinction of being the first college in the country to host the Women's Army Corp training school, which is pretty cool history in itself.

Thought you guys would find it interesting as well.
